This is an interesting question. Dogs spend about 45% of their days sleeping. When you take in the fact that you sleep about 8 hours a night and are at work for at least 8 hours that is 60% of the day. Which means your dog has some free time available.
All dogs, especially young dogs and old dogs benefit from being able to go out during the day for a bit of exercise. While they would prefer to go with their human caregiver they will accept substitutes. This is where we come in.
We will go to your home and take your dog out for a walk around the neighbourhood. We will ensure that your dog has a potty break and gets some mental stimulation. Your dog will be walked on its own or with a housemate if there is one. At no time will your dog be taken off-leash. We would never risk your best friend getting hurt while in our care.
In addition to walking your dog we also train the dog at the same time. We expect nice manners while on leash and will work with your dog to that end. If your dog has tendencies to act aggressive or afraid of different stimulae we will work with the dog to overcome these issues.
We are also available to check the house for dog messes if you wish. On a normal walk we will only enter your house as far as we need to get your dog. If you wish for us to check further in your home for any indiscretions that your dog may have had, this service is available upon request. This is especially useful when you have a new dog, puppy or older dog.
We walk dogs for 45 minutes and allow extra time for entering/exiting your home. If you have multiple dogs that you would prefer walked seperately these situations will discussed.
